Gion-Shimbashi is a traditional town that protects the Geisha district.
Here, there is a dignified air that rethinks yourself.
Since the Kamakura period, this area lined with teashops have been developed
having a deep connection with entertainment.
There are many tasteful elements like Tatsumi-Daimyojin shrine
that maiko visits to wish for the improvement of arts,
willows or bamboo blinds swaying in the wind, streets with a row of teahouse buildings.
This town designated as the area for the preservation of
traditional buildings has preserved history and traditions with people's lives.
To make you feel comfortable in Kyoto's atmosphere, we accept only two pairs a day.
We prepared a relaxing space like a familiar villa,
such as a garden that can be seen from the room and a semi-open-air bath.

“Sen”

This room designed by Sukiya style has a courtyard and a living room with Tokonoma, so you can spend relaxing time with your precious person.
From the semi-open-air bath with Koya-Maki (podocarp) you can see the garden and heal the tiredness of the trip with a refreshing scent.

“Tae”

This room, a spacious space of 85 square meters, has a living room facing Shimbashi street lined with beautiful Kyomachiya, a semi-open-air bath with Takano-Maki Koya-Maki (podocarp) facing a courtyard, a bedroom, a kitchen, a separate shower room. We recommend this room for family and group stay. You should be able to feel beautiful Japanese Sukiya style architecture deeply.

Meals

We offer meals according to your wishes. For breakfast, you can enjoy Japanese dishes like freshly cooked "Dashimakitamago (Japanese rolled omelette)" and Obanzai. Please spend a relaxing luxury morning time.
It is famous Kyoto people like bread. You can also choose the western style breakfast, like freshly baked bread and beverages, fresh fruits, vegetable soup and egg dishes.

For dinner, you can enjoy Kaiseki cuisine made with unique seasonal ingredients of Kyoto: bamboo shoots and sea bream in spring, pike conger and Kamo eggplant in summer, Matsutake mushroom and chestnut by Tango district in autumn, turnip and tilefish in winter. (Dinner is served at our sister ryokan Shiraume.)
